Vagabond is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takehiko Inoue. It was first serialized in Weekly Morning magazine from 1998 to 2015, and later in Monthly Afternoon magazine from 2017 to 2018. The manga is a fictionalized account of the life of the famous swordsman Miyamoto Musashi in the 17th century.
Vagabond has been highly acclaimed for its incredible art, intricate storytelling, and realistic depiction of swordsmanship. The series has won numerous awards, including the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2002 and the Kodansha Manga Award in 2000.
The series has been adapted into an anime television series, an animated film, and various stage productions. It has also been adapted into a video game.
